Netflix Chooses Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.
The new cast member will work alongside several other new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, featuring chief the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a important part of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
