From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and dark forces growing in power within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure are included.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the party reach places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
What’s Next?
From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.
Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
